Alright? Yep, this is a blog. Bear with me while I figure out what about. Could be a lot of random stuff abut life. The ordinary stuff. Nothing too posh. I’ll write about what happens when you are alive and trying to get through. Like a normal person.

Here’s one.

Today, right? I found out the battery on this Mac is having a mardy. It’s old, to be fair. Like six years old. More. It’s getting tired. Like me. 

It’ll keep going, like me. But I decided to play safe. Do some backing up. I have a newish Chromebook. Worse come to worse, I can use that. But...

Chromebooks and Apple devices aren’t best mates. My back up drives? All formatted for Apple. Useless connecting them to the Chromebook. “Device not available”. Great. 

Why? Formatting. That simple. Apple uses its own file system. Everyone else uses another one. It’s fucking bonkers. Wait until you hear this. 

I started copying all the data from my external hard drive to my Mac. And ran out of space. Had to copy the rest to a flash drive. Two of them. 

Then, reformat the external hard drive to exFAT. After that? Copy everything back over again. It took hours. Bloody hours. 

And now? I have my external hard drive with all the back ups on it I had before. Except now, I can plug it into my Chromebook and the Chromebook is happy. Thank fuck for that. 

What a nightmare. Hours of watching a progress bar not progress much. All because two systems hate each other. Bonkers, or what? 

That little tale is the type of story I’ll be writing here. Hope that’s okay. I do write other stuff. Comedy. A bit unhinged. That’s over here. I’ll keep what I write here simple. 

Er, hang on. 

One thing. I will write fiction as well. Short stories. Simple life, with a bit of a laugh. But not unhinged. a laugh because it's life in the flesh, so to speak.
